The Sandwell Steelers are governed by an elected committee, seven seats voted in by the membership on an annual basis.

Chairman – Anthony Green
The Chairman has a strategic role to play in representing the vision and purpose of the organisation. The Chairperson ensures that the management committee functions properly and that effective decisions are made and carried out. Anthony has been on the Committee for three years, entering the Committee as Secretary and taking over as Chairman in 2016.

Vice Chair – Pete Wilson
The Vice Chairs key responsibilities are supporting the Chairman in his duties, as well as assuming his responsibilities where the Chairman is absent or unable to perform his agreed roles and responsibilities. Pete has been involved with the Club since it first associated and has held the position of Vice Chair for one year.

Treasurer – Peter Roden
The role of the treasurer is to maintain an overview of the Sandwell Steelers financial affairs, ensuring its viability and ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained at all times across its numerous programmes. Pete has been involved with the Club since it first associated and has held the position of Treasurer for one year.

Secretary – Fiona Mackenzie-Grist
The secretary is responsible for the efficient and smooth running of the Management committees meetings, preparing agendas, minutes as well as timekeeping. Outside of the Committee Meeting, the Secretary is also responsible for ensuring Membership records are acquired and maintained as well as ensuring the Clubs HR needs are met. Fiona is new to the programme having had numerous success on committees for other Sports Clubs and is currently in her first term as secretary.

Adult Programme General Manager – Parm Sandhu
The Adult General Manager is the principal administrator for the Sandwell Steelers Adult Programme. This role, within the ethos of The Club, has the autonomy to manage and co-ordinate the Adult programme to the best of their ability, ensuring the members have the best programme we can offer to them. The General Manager is responsible for arranging training and game facilities as well as communicating with the league and other teams. Parm  is currently in his first term as Adult General Manager after getting introduced to the programme through his son who plays for the team.

Women’s Programme General Manager – Samantha Wilson
The Women’s General Manager is the principal administrator for the Sandwell Steelers Women’s Programme. This role, within the ethos of The Club, has the autonomy to manage and co-ordinate the Women’s programme to the best of their ability, ensuring the members have the best programme we can offer to them. The General Manager is responsible for arranging training and game facilities as well as communicating with the league and other teams. Sam Wilson played for the Women’s Programme when it first started and took over as General Manager in 2015.

Youth Team General Manager – Inderjit Singh Pharwaha

The Youth General Manager is the principal administrator for the Sandwell Steelers Youth Programme. This role, within the ethos of the club, has the autonomy to manage and co-ordinate the Youth programme to the best of their ability, ensuring the members have the best programme we can offer to them whilst meeting BAFA Child Welfare and Protection standards. The General Manager is responsible for arranging training and game facilities as well as communicating with the league and other teams.

Inderjit joined the club during the 2016 season, getting involved in multiple facets of the organisation and ultimately winning the renowned ‘Steelers Pride’ award during his first season.
